Miscellaneous information
Per Tournament Moderator
“All Entry fees will be collected at the door prior to entering and numbered arm bands will be assigned. Pre-Registered Teams will have entry priority. Unload equipment only in designated areas. Your equipment must be setup and approved by a Woot Woot Rep prior to displayed count down.”
Tournament structure
Per Tournament Moderator
“The Tournament will be broken down into separate round-robins called Pods with a maximum of 16 teams a piece. Each team can play up to 15 games.”
Tournament Rules
Per Tournament Moderator
“Each game will have a host and guest which is designated on the schedule. Team1 is always Red and the Host, Team2 is always Blue and the guest. The hosts team captain will start a LAN game using the default settings for a Team Slayer game, except the time will be 8 minutes, kills will be 50, the map specified on the schedule and the max party size must be changed to 8 (to prevent unwanted gamers from joining).”
“Both teams are responsible for these settings being applied, both the guest and the host. The Host has the responsibility of physically changing these settings, the Guest has the responsibility of checking to make sure the Host has everything set correctly. A game begins without all of the correct settings both teams are at fault for not doing their job. The solution is very simple, end the game and restart it with the correct settings. No matter who has the lead. If any discrepancies occur please wave your flag to get a WootWoot Rep’s attention.
After each game the captain of the winning team will raise their flag signaling for a WootWoot Rep to record your game stats. Stats are posted live during the event.
Scoring is done using stats from each team from each game using a WootWoot Proprietary Scoring System (WWPSS).”
***IMPORTANT SCORING INFORMATION***
The WootWoot Proprietary Scoring System is comprised of 3 advantages.
The Butt Spankin’ Advantage
- If the winning team beats it’s opponent by more than 40% they receive a bonus of 9% times their kills. If the winning team beats it’s opponent by 60% they receive a bonus of 18% times their kills.
The Trigger Happy Advantage
- If the winning team ends the game via reaching the kill limit as oppose to reaching the time limit they receive a bonus of 18% times their kills.
Winner Advantage
- The winning team receives a bonus that is equal to 50 kills.
When all scheduled games have been played, the final series is created. The Final Series includes the top 2 scoring teams of each Round Robin Pod. The series will be a ladder tourney. The winners of these games are determined by the first team to 50 kills in 8 min (or the most kills at the end of 8 min), NOT THE WWPS POINT SYSTEM. The Championship game is a best of three series. Each team will pick one map, and the last map will be pre-determined. A coin toss will determine which map is played first.
A popular dispute among gamers is what ‘game’ glitches are allowed. WootWoot addresses this very simply, Any game play that was not intended by the creators of the game will not be allowed. This is determined by WootWoot Staff, use your best judgment. If questionable play occurs, WootWoot Staff will issue a warning and/or disqualification.
THERE IS ABSOLUTLY NO FREE PLAY DURING TOURNY PLAY, INCLUDING DURING THE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES - VIOLATERS OF THIS RULE WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.
Prizes will be awarded after the tourney, before FreePlay. All door prizes will be awarded between tourney rounds.
If you have any questions during the event, please see a WootWoot Rep. WootWoot Productions is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged equipment.
If any disputes or discrepancies are found, please bring it to the attention of a WootWoot Rep prior to the end of the tourney, Once awarded no changes will be made.
