and 10% to 3rd place.

General Rules according to the Moderators
“Formats - All tournaments with 7 or more entires will be held in a
double elimination format, with a regionally/randomly seeded bracket.
You will play 2/3 games with each opponent to determine the winner of
a Match (or Set). After losing two Matches (or Sets), you are
eliminated. For tournaments with 6 or less people, Round Robin style
will go into effect. In this, every player will play every other
player only one game, and the player with the most wins at the end is
the winner.

Character Selection - If either player requests it, a judge may
oversee ‘Double Blind Selection’. Player A will wisper to the judge
which character/groove/mode he wants, and player B will select his on
screen. The Judge will then inforce that player A chooses what he
just wispered. This way, neither player will know which the other is
choosing.

Controllers - Bring you own controller for every system you plan to
compete on. (We run games on PS2, Dreamcast, PS3, and Gamecube). If
you have a controller malfunction during a match, it is YOUR
responsibility to stop the match and call a judge to confirm the
problem with your controller. The judge will then signal a restart of
the game. Previous losses/wins in that match will retain. If you
have a malfunction and decide to play on, you lose to the right to
contest a loss afterward. If you stop a match to report a controller
malfunction and it is found that you do NOT have a malfunction, you
will be issued a WARNING. Two Warnings and you will be disqualified
from the tournament. No controllers with autofire or turbo or
programmable functions of any kind are allowed. No wireless
controllers are allowed.

Pausing - Pausing during a match is not allowed. If you pause during
the match, it is your opponent’s discresion on weather to play on or
give you a loss (for the game, not the match). If your opponent gives
you a loss, go back to character select and play the next game in your
set. If your opponent lets you unpause and play on, he loses all
rights to contest a loss due to pause infraction later (in that
match).

Infractions - No excessive cursing, racial slurring, or any other
derogitory remarking will be tolerated. Trash talk it okay, but keep
it between you and your opponent.
Do not trash talk a match you are not involved in. No outside food
or drink will be allowed. All wrappers/cans will be thrown into the
trashcash. No rough-housing or violence of any kind.

Warnings -Any infraction will get you a WARNING. TwoWARNINGS and you
will be disqualified from the tournament.

Glitches - Any bug or glitch that is available to only one player (not
character) is banned (ie, only player 2 can perform this glitch).
These are very rare. Any bug or glitch that causes the game to end
(freezing, characters leaving the screen, etc) are banned. Most other
bugs and glitches are allowed.”
