$1,000,000 HALO 3 TOURNAMENT……I mean do I really have to write a description.

Tournament Registration Fees:
$275 which includes BYOC, while spots are available.
Participants under the age of 17 will need parental consent. The Cyberathlete Professional League (CPL) will need a signature from a parent or guardian on their consent form. The consent form is available at Parental Consent Form .

Registration for the $1,000,000 Halo 3 competition will have to be done online through a online registration form CPL Halo 3 competition registration. The sign up page is a secure online form where Visa, MasterCard and American Express are accepted.

The online registration for the Halo 3 competition will close on Monday, December 3, 2007 at noon central. If the remaining spots are not filled by the close of the registration, an adjustment in tournament size and cash prizes will be determined by XFT, the tournament moderator.

“Spectator passes are available for $20. Family and friends accompanying registered competitors can sign up as spectators and gain admission to the event for all five-days.”

*****This is a Free-For-All format for this event.*****

These are the rules and format for the FFA a.k.a Free-for -all tournament (per the tournament moderators):
1. Participants will be randomly assigned in groups of four to a slot in a standard tournament bracket.

2. Each group of four will play three 10-minute rounds, one round on each of the selected maps. The two players with the highest aggregate kills after the three rounds will advance.*

3. Game play will follow this format until the final 64 players are identified. The final 64 participants will then be seeded in groups of four by total aggregate kills through the tournament to this point.

4. Groups in the round of 64 will play three 12-minute rounds, one round on each of the selected maps. The two players with the highest aggregate kills after the three rounds will advance.*

5. Play will follow this format until the final four players are identified.

6. The final group of four will play three 15-minute rounds, one round on each of the selected maps. The participant with the highest aggregate kills after all three rounds will be the X-Factor / CPL Halo 3 Champion.*

Game Type: FFA a,k.a. Free-for-all Slayer

Maps: Guardian, The Pit and Epitaph.

Default Starting Weapon: Battle Rifle

Secondary Starting Weapon: Assault Rifle

Weapons on map: Map default with No Rocket Launchers

No Vehicles, No Radar, No Equipment

3 Second Respawn, Random Respawn Points

*In the case of a tie, the winner will be the player with the least total aggregate deaths.
